About this project

Sky TV show “There’s Something About Movies” with Alan Carr, Tom Allen and Guz Khan.

The program is a game show, with two teams. The leaders of each team battle out on who can be trained and replicate a famous movie scene. For this episode we recreated the Matrix movie as accurately as we possible could. The scene was the Matrix Rooftop shoot and fight scene, with Neo dodging the bullets in one of the most iconic scenes to date.

We rebuilt the rig as accurately as we possibly could, we actually used software that gave us a 3D model of the rig from the real scene, and rebuilt it to within a few inches of the original. Using the same amount of 99 cameras they used on the original set in Sydney Australia.

Fun Facts!
1 – We recorded this on the exact day that the Matrix was released 20 years earlier in large parts of Europe, which was nothing but a pure coincidence! But a very cool little fact! 🙂
2 – We worked with Tri Star Scaffolding in Sydney (whilst creating a rig for Unilever in 2012) who helped create the original Bullet Time shots for the movies

This will be Episode 5 of Season 2
