About this project

Junk Kouture is a fashion show by and for school children, where they create incredible clothing from recycled materials.

We were asked to capture the visitors and the winning finalists in our 360 Bullet Time booth in Dublin’s 3 Arena. So we drove from Sunderland all the way to Dublin, set up the rig the day before and went live the next morning. We were asked to operate from 3pm until 7pm, but we offered to work until later to capture people during the interval, and then after the show. We eventually finished shooting at 12.30am, stripped the rig down and were gone by 2am.

– The setup took about 3hrs, the day before the event. On the day of the event, we walked in and just started working.

– We provided 2 staff, the same staff, setup, operated and de-rigged the rig.

– We operated the rig from 2pm until midnight, then spent 2hrs de-rigging including removing it to the van.

Number of Cameras

We had 48 cameras on this 5.5 meter diameter rig.

Software Systems

We used our in-house bespoke bullet time software system to capture, align and export these movies on the fly.

Location

This was in the incredible 3 Arena in Dublin. We drove across from Sunderland and stayed in Dublin centre… amazing chicken wings, but drinks are SOOO expensive!

What did we create

We went live at 4pm, and ran it until 12.30am creating over 400 aligned, and branded movies that were sent out directly to the visitors email.
