About this project

Working with SkyBet, Sky Sports, ElectricTheatre (ETC), The Quarry, Outsider.TV and many others, we created this ambitious multi location advert to be used throughout the Euro’s campaign online and on most commercial TV/Streaming networks.

Over 3 locations, using 120 cameras, we created multiple rigs some of which were split into multiple focal lengths and multiple level rigs.

Green Screen Studio

The first couple of days we worked in a huge green screen studio in Black Island Studios London, creating a double deck 120 camera rig to capture individual Sky pundits and thrown items which will be added into the scene later in post production.

Apartment Studio

The next day we worked in a top floor studio, with no lifts, having to carry 12 x 100KG flight cases and piles of truss by hand, then set up a 120 camera rig from 6am and shoot then de rig until 11pm. We couldn’t get in the day before to setup as there was another shoot in the studio.

  • Living Room Scene
A full living room scene was created by set designers in a natural light studio, with our double decked 120 camera Bullet Time rig positioned around the sofa and fully dressed lounge area.
  • Bedroom Scene
Once we broke for a late lunch, the set designers came in and rebuilt the entire set. Swapping everything out and built an entire bedroom with bedding, furniture, ornaments, lighting, crash mats… everything!

London Stadium

We then wrapped at 8pm, packed up by about 10.30pm, hand balled everything back down those damn stairs and took it over to “London Stadium” (West Ham Stadium), we managed to get 3hrs sleep in a local hotel, then arrived back in the stadium just before 4am. The rig was ready and set up by 1pm, 3hrs ahead of schedule as the sky was becoming very dark. We took the first shots and the heavens opened! So we covered the rig with covers and waited for a short time, expecting to need to de-rig and cancel the afternoon. But!!!! The sun came out again and we managed to catch a small window of time to finish off the shoot.

All footage was post produced and handed over in full 5.5K TIFF sequences, graded and colour balanced to match other footage.
